Here at RainCaper, our hearts go out to the people of Ukraine, and we know many of our customers are looking for ways to help.
RainCaper will immediately begin donating 10% of the purchase price of all of our van Gogh Sunflowers items to Sunflower of Peace, a non-profit dedicated to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion.
Why Sunflowers?
Sunflowers have quickly become a global symbol of support for the citizens of Ukraine. The humble but hearty flower-soniashnyk in Ukrainian- grows everywhere throughout the country, and exports of sunflower oil are a cornerstone of the national economy. Over the years, sunflowers have become both an unofficial national flower and also a symbol of peace. In 1996, the US, Russian and Ukrainian defense ministers came together to plant sunflowers to celebrate Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons. Today in Ukraine and all around the world, people are using sunflowers as a symbol of hope that peace will return to the region again.
