Klimt painted the elegant "Hope II" in 1908, during what art historians refer to as his "Golden Period". His model, Herma, was heavily pregnant, and he depicts her almost like a greek icon or goddess, wrapped in rich robes and covered in shimmering patterns and jewels. The elegant geometric pattern on Herma's robe is the inspiration for our "Hope II" RainCaper design. The painting currently hangs in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

RainCaper Seek a stylish raincoat alternative? Art aficionados already know that most museums prohibit bulky raincoats, slickers and umbrellas, so getting the best waterproof jacket (women or mens) is important when you want to stroll galleries, sightsee and explore museums. Compare the best rain jackets for travel when you shop – better than a rain poncho for women with hood, a RainCaper from the Fine Art Collection is a sophisticated wardrobe solution that is more than an ordinary rain jacket or rain poncho. When comparing rain coats for women, know that RainCaper is hooded and can act as a windbreaker as well as a rain poncho and a travel cape.

The cape is traveling in France!!!

I bought this cape as a gift for a friend who is very chic and loves color. The colors are so vivid on the Klimt side and I thought this would be a gift she would love! I was underestimating her reaction to the cape: at first sight, she said she loved it and it was superb! The next was a photo from France, where she had traveled with the brand new cape. Then she told me she also used it on over air-conditioned buses and trains...and was about to use it at the beach as a towel, but someone had a real towel. She goes everywhere with her Klimt colors and tells me over and over again, which of course I love hearing, how much she LOVES that RainCaper design and functionality.
