Wrap yourself in this luxurious Delaunay "Portuguese Woman" shawl, which can be worn as a scarf in chilly weather or as a a wrap to dress up your outfit. This silky-soft women's  has a delicate eyelash fringe, giving it a touch of elegance – it's truly a wearable work of art!

The elegant design features "Portuguese Woman," painted in 1914 by Robert Delaunay and now in the permanent collection of the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid. The artist created this boldly abstract piece by mixing paint with hot wax to achieve the most intense color saturation possible.

The vivid pattern appears on one side of the shawl, while the reverse is a softly muted tonal background - adding versatility and lightness to your look. Our silk-blend shawls are not opaque, so the primary pattern is visible on the reverse.

It’s definitely beautiful but not for me

It’s definitely beautiful but not for me. I don’t feel the photo depicts the colors accurately. I was expecting more contrast and brightness but instead found muted tones and a lot of blush beige. If there was ever a color I don’t like, it’s that one- and it’s also the color of the unprinted side. The fabric texture and weight, however, is lovely. Overall, it’s very nice and will work beautifully for some other person, I’m sure. Regretfully, I’ll be returning it.

​I recently received a beautiful scarf from your shop, but unfortunately, it arrived damaged. One of the edges is completely unhemmed and very frayed.

​Because of a physical disability and a lack of daily assistance, I am unable to package and mail this item back for a standard return. Given these circumstances, I would be incredibly grateful if you could send a replacement scarf. If a replacement is not possible, a refund would be greatly appreciated.

​I have attached a photo of the frayed edge for your review.
